Weekly Update Questions.

How much time you spend on your project?

This week, so far, I have spent about 5 hours on my project. It's been a very stressing and hard academic week for me. On top of this, I've had to come up with my routine for the Cabaret Night. Finding jokes for the theme of Scotland is hard, and I am still not satisfied, but here goes nothing. I plan to fulfill my mandatory 8 hours a week though by Sunday night, 11:59 PM.
This has been inspiring, these guys are genius. Their skits are very, very well written, and the acting is superb.

What did you do for hands on?

For hands on, I just recorded skit ideas in my journal. We also recruited a new writer, Will Doerr to the team. He is clever and witty, and skit ideas come out of him quite easily, allowing progress to come smoothly. Also for hands on, Ian and I have met a couple of times this week. But, Ms. Gergely gave me a useful sheet of community contacts, which will be very useful in the future.

What research did you do?
As for research, I just did a lot of web research, and absorbed everything I can, even if they don't apply to me currently, they may help me in the future.

Some sound, and inspiring advice. I took notes in my notebook.

Did you meet with your mentor? What did you talk about?
No. My mentor dropped me because he had four kids, and I was absent for our first meeting. I am currently going on the search for one, I think Mr. Bernstein is a good candidate.

Were you in class this week?
Yes, I was in class for tuesday, and I went to the MLK day. I plan to be in class for my red flag meeting tomorrow.

What do you think your fulfillment of WISE requirements was?
I'm not pleased about this week, I just was keeping my head above water. School work flooded my time, and I just did the bare minimum in terms of WISE work. Also, it's going to be hard to do any progressive work his weekend, because my work has got me working all weekend. This is frustrating.

What are your plans for next week?
My plan for next week is for all three writers to meet and establish skit ideas, and dates. I want use to have finalized skit ideas, not just drafts, so we can do photoshoots and start looking for actors and actresses to play in our skits. I also plan to get a mentor, or things are going to be looking grim for me.

  1. Plan out the busy weeks really specifically so that you will meet minimums. If you have change what you've planned, at least you have a clear plan to change from.

Research ideas: history of comedy (farts through time!!!)Comedy scripts, filming, etc.....)

Must meet all minimums next week.

    Talk to Mr. Bernstein ASAP.

Think about blogging about your MCing this weekend--the line between awkward and hysterical?
